A Grade II listed apartment in Shad Thames, with Tower Bridge in the windows.
Project in progress. Due for completion January 2027.
Supremati has been appointed to design the interiors of a Grade II listed apartment at Butlers Wharf, with Tower Bridge in the windows. [It is a return to the building: we completed a penthouse here some years ago.]
Most of our work sits in the prime central postcodes, but what links our projects has never been the address. It is the building: listed, full of character, with architecture that has opinions of its own. Here the brickwork does the talking. The detail is in the masonry itself rather than applied to it, and it frames the view the way good architecture frames anything, quietly and without asking for credit.
In a listed building the architecture sets the terms, and these are very good ones. The scheme takes its cue from the brickwork: herringbone oak underfoot, walnut joinery, honed marble and black leather, with a classic modernist line in the furniture. The aim is an interior worthy of what is already in the room, which then lets the view do the rest.
