This St Johns Wood project is for one of our trusted clients, a developer, who Supremati has already worked with on three separate occasions. Subsequently we were given a lot of freedom in design direction, and given our expertise, were responsible for deciding on the best choices given the location and the historic, art-deco building that the apartment is set in so that it could reach its full potential.
Specifically, we were responsible for the structural/architectural choices, the joinery, choosing the bespoke made-to-order furniture as well as the coordination of the finishing touches like accessories, bedding and artwork.
We made corrections to the architect’s original plans of the interiors and completely transformed the layout and redesigned the décor. One of the significant changes we made, for example, was enlarging the master bedroom so that the guest room would be distinguishable and smaller from the other. We also added lots of storage for practicality.
Stylistically, we wanted the interiors to mirror the apartment’s art-deco architecture. To do this we incorporated lots of high gloss wooden finishes, marble, gold trims and mirroring, which also brought in lots of light, further opening up the space. Whereas, the neighbouring Richmond Park inspired us to inject the interior with green tones and fresh greenery to lighten the opulent and rich decorum.
